This assignments deals with analysis of observed data of individualk wave heights and periods listed in Table H_T-TAB:

• a) Determine the mean wave period and estimate how many year of data is used to create the table o
• b) Assume tyhat the waves are Wibull distributer (all period accunmulated).


Determine the parameters of the distribution and show it graphically.
If you prefer to do the analysis gaphically you may use the Weibull paper at the WEB-site:
http://www.bygg.ntnu.no/~oivarn/BILDER/Webull.tif . Load it down to your PC and print.
It is encouraged to apply IT-tools as MATLAB, EXCEL etc.

• c) Find wave heights corresponding to return periods of 1, 10 og 100 years respectively

 
• d) For each wave height group determine the expected wave period i.e.: E[T |H].


Make a graph of E[T |H] vs. H.
